Dear Clarkson Student: Every day, you see and benefit from the results of our hard work. When you enter a clean academic building or dorm room. When you flip a switch and the light turns on. When your classrooms and dorm rooms have heat in the winter. When our campus roads get plowed. When our athletic fields get mowed. When your toilets flush and your showers run. And much, much more. It takes a small army to keep our campus clean and operating. 100 strong, actually. We're the men and women in green, your Facilities & Services workers who you see throughout our campus everyday, proudly wearing the Clarkson name, proudly standing together as the members of CSEA Local 752, and almost always wearing a smile. Except recently, we've had fewer reasons to smile, as we're being treated very unfairly by Clarkson University. You've probably seen news coverage about our contract struggle, but do you really know what it's about? Did you know that you can help make a difference! Our struggle really isn't about money, it's about fairness and respect. We've created this website to give you more in-depth information about what our struggle is about, what we're asking for, and how we're being treated by a University that claims to value things like service, diligence and teamwork, but doesn't practice what they preach.
